We are proud to have a large network of alumnae across Worcestershire and globally. Past pupils now excel in medicine, law, operatic performance, veterinary medicine and process engineering to name but a few fields. Following the success of our 70th Anniversary Extravaganza, we are developing a range of activities for, and with the support, of alumnae.
These will take the form of social and networking opportunities, talks and for those interested in supporting our current pupils, mentoring, careers advice and industrial/business events.
Rachael Cross travelled to Athens this summer to represent GBR in the 420 class Open European Sailing Championships. Rachael and her sailing partner were selected for the GBR team at the National Youth Championships last Easter and found themselves competing with the best under 17 sailors from around Europe, together with guest teams from the USA, Singapore and Australia. In varied wind conditions and intense heat they recorded some good results; including an 8th place on the last day. They eventually finished 4th out of 6 GBR boats and 35 of 46 overall. This was great experience to take with them to Fremantle, Australia for the World Championships over Christmas.
Lauren Boardman has now completed her MA in Global Co-operation and International Security at Birmingham University.
Lauren has been accepted onto a PHD again at Birmingham.
Not only did the school give outstanding teaching but gave Lauren other skills that will be with her through the rest of her life.
In Sept 2016 Lauren travelled to South Africa for a month where she taught in a Orphanage.
If you are an alumna of Dodderhill and would like to be involved, please visit our facebook page to find details of upcoming events and opportunities.
