Alumni

Alumnae Relations

We are currently in the process of setting up an alumni programme to celebrate the achievements of our former pupils and give old friends the chance to meet up again. If you or someone you know went to Dodderhill please let us know by email enquiries@dodderhill.co.uk or call us on 01905 778290.

Fiona Grimer

Old girl Fiona Grimer leaves Dodderhill once again this week. Fiona started at the school in 2001, leaving six years later with a clutch of excellent GCSE grades. She studied for A levels in geography, biology and ICT in Worcester, attaining 2 As and a B in 2009.

Fiona then embarked on a gap year during which she travelled the USA, helped with a turtle rescue centre in Costa Rica and returned to assist in the development of ICT at Dodderhill. She also found time to pass her private helicopter licence!

Fiona now leaves us for the second time to start an exciting course in Computer Science with Natural Hazard Management at Chester University.

We want to wish Fiona every success in the next stage of her career and thank her for her help over the last year.

Laura Pearson

Laura Pearson, as she received her Bachelor of Medical Science (1st Class Honours) in July 2007.  Laura finished in the top quartile in her year and in her finals, in the top 5 scoring A’s across the board. Her parents feel that Laura was set on the road to success by the teaching, work ethic, and discipline she recieved in her years at Dodderhill.  These gave her the foundations on which to build the subsequent success she had at A Level and then at The University of Birmingham Medical School.

She is currently shadowing a junior Doctor prior to commencing her first year as a Foundation Doctor at Sandwell Hospital (her 1st choice) where she will work in rotations of three four month blocks starting with General Surgery – Gastroenterology, then General Surgery – Colorectal and finally Paediatrics.  This is followed by a second year of rotations before specialising!
