Talking and writing about what they have done at the weekend starts each week in the Early Years department. Starting with single sentences produced with teacher assistance in Kindergarten, by Year 1 pupils are able to write detailed accounts of their exploits. Games such as lingo-bingo support word recognition and vocabulary development - a solid foundation for project work and creative writing.
